In the wee hours of August 22nd, 2019, we watched as our subscriber count hit 99 and then during a refresh it rolled over to 100. There was a brief pause in disbelief as its only been 2 weeks since we started our first uploads for our first series.
It might not seem like a lot of people but to us, it’s a HUGE step forward in building the success of our business. According to YouTubes rules, we cannot have a custom URL for our channel unless we meet this milestone. Well, here it is, our brand new custom URL from YouTube.
Over the past few days, we’ve been updating many of our templates and working on the SEO of our website and the YouTube channel. We’ve started to include our sponsor links on the upcoming videos are well. We are also preparing for the release of NES Quest that is currently planned for launch on September 5th.

The Eaton Media Group is proud to announce that we have 3 more advertisers! Yes it’s true, we were able to get ahold of 3 more advertisers and 2 of them were completely unexpected but 1 of the 2, had approached us! In fact, we are currently reviewing agreements with another advertiser that we would love support from but we just don’t produce enough of the right content to make it a good fit.

In light of the changes that we’ve had to make with regards to our main channel, we have decided to shift some content over to a new channel that will only focus on content that is more “controversial” in nature.
Mixing many different types of content on one channel is not a bad idea, as a good amount of diversity is always good to have. What is a bad idea is putting topics that might not be suitable for all viewers together with normal content like gaming or Anime.
This division will take a lot of effort to grow the video base but we think that will allow us to cover a wider array of subjects. When we are ready to share the new channel publicly will we share its link and will start uploading more videos.
We are also looking at what to do with our educational courses that are under development. We are considering separating Eaton University into another division like EMG News as we want to bring on more professionals to generate as much amazing content as possible.
Originally we were going to bundle everything in 1 place making it easy for everyone to access but realized that someone who wants to watch gaming content might not like educational lessons or political commentary.
Over the next week, while prepping our NES Quest series we will also be looking into more options to get EMG News and Eaton University ready for the planned 2020 launch.
Eaton Media Group is pleased to announce a brand new podcast series coming to our YouTube channel, coming in the fall of 2019. Lets Talk Anime is a new series hosted by Joshua Eaton with his special co-host Geneva Eaton.
Anime is often misunderstood by pretty much everyone who has either never seen it or does not understand why “Adults watch cartoons”. This series will review and discuss many of the Anime series as broadcast by Crunchyroll and Funimation. Geneva will provide her commentary on what she likes about each series and which different series she would recommend people to watch. Joshua will provide the adult side of the review looking at deeper and more meaning issues covered in Anime as well as some other series that are NOT suitable for children.
More information on the schedule will be posted later this year as development progresses.
Eaton Media Group is proud to announce a new series to our Played By Canadian Yeti gaming podcast. After some early success with our Mario series so far, it was suggested that we bring in a lot more games and then one evening someone suggested “Why not just review all of them? How many games would that be?”. Well here is your answer!
Back in October 1985, Nintendo released the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) to the North American market. A total of 716 known licensed game titles were released for the NES during its life span, 679 of these games released in North America (if you count Short Order and Eggsplode! as 2 separate games) plus 2 championship cartridges, with an additional 35 released in Europe or Australia.
Join Canadian Yeti and his daughter Yang Wawa as they review and play all 679 titles starting with Nintendo’s 17 launch titles: 10-Yard Fight, Baseball, Clu Clu Land, Duck Hunt, Excitebike, Golf, Gyromite, Hogan’s Alley, Ice Climber, Kung Fu, Pinball, Soccer, Stack-Up, Tennis, Wild Gunman, Wrecking Crew, and Super Mario Bros. and finish up with the final licensed NES game Wario’s Woods, released on December 10, 1994 in North America.
